Nexter Mechanics is the Nexter Group's mechanical and hydraulic engineering centre of excellence.

The expertise available to Nexter Mechanics allows the company to cover the entire project lifecycle, from engineering to development, pre-production, production, repair, spare parts supply and obsolescence management. All the design and pre-production resources required are present on site.

The company is structured into three business units:

• Mechanical and hydraulic engineering: this business unit develops and markets innovative products such as the Syegon centralised tyre inflation pressure management system and the Safepro mine-resistant seat.
• Operational readiness: this business unit supplies spare parts for vehicles with long working lives (30+ years), including a full range of obsolescence management services. It also looks after the maintenance and repair of mechanical and hydraulic components, upgrades and technical enhancements and the development and qualification of maintenance tools.
• Machining, heat treatment and surface treatment: this business unit offers its customers a range of services for the production of high-added-value mechanical components (for use in demanding safety situations, severe environments, etc). Its key strength lies in its ability to carry out complex machining operations and apply the associated heat and surface treatments in-house with no recourse to subcontractors.

Nexter Mechanics holds ISO 9001, EN 9100, PART 21 and 145 certification, and is in the process of gaining NADCAP and ISO 14001 certification.
